Junior High State Track and Field Championships Held in Gothenburg
Northwest was well represented at the 3rd annual Jr. High State Track and Field Championships held in Gothenburg this past weekend. Athletes are invited to participate in the meet based on their performances over the season. The top 24 individuals in each event and the top 16 relays. The following were invited and competed well at the meet, most set personal bests.
Dillan Haynes – 100, 200, long jump (9th place)
Nicholas Mohler – 100 high hurdles
Christian Elsworth – shot put, discus
Nicole Phinney – 100 low hurdles
MacKenzie McNeel – pole vault
Other athletes who qualified late and were unable to attend include the 4x100 relay (Nicholas Mohler, Dillan Haynes, Dominic Tuma, Colton Helgoth) and Daniel Keeling in the high jump.
